INGREDIENTS IN AIR FRYER FRIED PICKLES

Pickles- Use a sliced dill pickle for this recipe.

Egg - Egg helps the breadcrumbs stick to the pickles.

  • ¾ c panko bread crumbs seasoned

Instructions

  • Remove the pickle rounds from the jar and drain the liquid. Place the pickle rounds between paper towels. Pat to remove moisture.
  • In a small bowl, scramble the egg. (add maple syrup here if you choose)
  • In a second small bowl, place the panko bread crumbs.

  • Place pickle chips into a single layer into your air fryer. Fry at 400 degrees F for 8 minutes. Turn pickles after 4 minutes. (Do not shake the basket, manually flip each pickle)

Notes

  • Pat the pickles dry. You want to make sure before you dip them in the egg and bread crumbs.
  • Like it spicy? Add some hot sauce to the egg mixture.
  • Make these faster. You can use whole pickles, or use pickles already cut into rounds or spears.
  • Run out of egg and pankos in your bowl? Just add more. No biggie. This recipe is MEGA easy, just add more if you need it.
  • Use panko bread crumbs. Panko gives them extra crunch than regular bread crumbs. I used a gluten-free panko bread crumb mixture to meet my dietary restrictions.  I specifically used an Ian's Italian Seasoned one and it was delicious. Use whatever panko bread crumbs fit your needs and your taste.
  • Keep an eye on your air fryer. Different brands can cook differently.
